As per the Government Order and Addendum No. CI 56 SGT 2004 dated 21-12-2004, 3-1-2005 , Addendum No. CI 23 SGT 2005 dated 7-3-2005 and also as per the guidelines of the Government, the applications were invited for presenting the awards for the year 2005-06. Applications were received, the same were scrutinized and finalized the list of awardees by the Selection committee formed vide G.O.No. CI 56 SGT 2004 dated 21-12-2004.Now, it has been decided to present the State Export Excellence Awards for the year 2005-06 and 2006-07 separately to the leading exporters of the State for their excellent performance in Exports and hold the function together.
ANNUAL STATE AWARDS FOR BEST EXPORT PERFORMANCE

GUIDELINES

  I. Aims and Objectives:
 
It is proposed to grant State Awards for the year 2006-2007 to the Exporters from Karnataka for their outstanding Export performance in recognition of their export efforts and motivate the exporters to attain higher growth in exports as per the provisions of State Export Promotion Policy (2002-2007).

PRODUCT CATEGORIES FOR AWARD CATEGORY 2 & 3 ABOVE :

  • Agricultural & Processed Food products including coffee,
  • Readymade Garments including Silk
  • Electronics & Communications
  • IT & BT,
  • Engineering goods & Machine Tools
  • Arts & Crafts,
  • Minerals & Mineral based products,
  • Others – Leathers, Gems & Jewellery, etc.,
   
  Eligibility Criteria for Awards
   
 
  1. Minimum Export Turnover of Rs.1.00 crores per year.
  2. The eligible exporters for higher awards in a category is not considered for another award in any other category, so that the next better performer in the exports is considered for an award.
  3. An exporter shall be eligible for only one award
  4. Best Export Award for Women Entrepreneur - The definition of Women entrepreneurs as recommended by National Level Standing Committee on Women Entrepreneurs “An enterprise owned and administered by a women entrepreneur, having a minimum financial interest of 51% of the share capital and giving atleast 50% of employment generated in the enterprise to women”. The applicant should submit documents for proof of financial interest and give declaration regarding minimum 50% employment to Women.
  5. An application form is to be suitably framed by the selection committee.
  6. The Committee members suggested are not the applicants for the awards.
  7. Award for each year will be based on previous year’s performance.

In the Govt. Order dated 21-12-2004 read at Sl No.2 above, the Govt. have issued orders for constitution of Selection Committee, fixing of eligibility criteria etc., in connection with State Level Export Awards. In Annexure – 2 to above order list of product for Best Manufacturer Award for Non SSI and SSI have not been shown hence, it is hereby ordered to be included in the said Annexure at the end as follows

In the Govt. Order dated 21-12-2004 read at Sl No.2 above, the Govt. have issued orders in connection with State Level Export Awards by fixing of eligibility criteria for awards as per Annexure - III annexed to that order. One of the eligibility criteria for awards was minimum export turnover of Rs. 1 Crores per year. This issue of minimum turnover in respect of SC/ST and women entrepreneur has been reexamined, and in the said Annexure-III, the following is hereby included in the first serial no. of eligibility criteria for Awards

There is no Minimum export turnover fixed in case of SC/ST and women entrepreneurs.
