EXPORT AWARENESS PROGRAMMES:

In any liberalising economy, the potential available for international trade is considerable. Karnataka has 27 districts with a vast network of Industry and Trade friendly District Industries Centres, Chambers of Commerce and Industry / Trade Associations.

Still only few districts of the State are contributing to the export revenues. Many industries and traders have not entered the export field, thinking that identification of potential buyers is a very difficult job and also that the export related procedures and formalities are cumbersome.

VITC therefore conducts Export Awareness Programmes of 1 to 2 days duration in various parts of the State, jointly with the support of the local District Industries Centres, Chambers of Commerce and Industry / Trade Associations to create an awareness on the existing vast export potential as well as on the countries increasingly simplified trade policies and procedures.

It is found that the feedback on such Export Awareness Programmes from the participating industries / trade is very positive and quite a few of them participate in the intensive Export Management Programmes of VITC at Bangalore.

Since, the last few years, VITC is conducting 2 - 3 days intensive Export Training Programmes also at the district level, for the benefit of the local industry / trade.
