SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS, CONFERENCES, OPEN HOUSES ON VARIOUS FOREIGN TRADE RELATED MATTERS:

Organisations engaged in foreign trade, have to be kept informed of the changes / developments taking place in the various aspects of international trade viz., export finance, export insurance, packaging / eco-labelling, quality, rules and procedures of our Country and rules and procedures of importing / exporting countries etc., Hence, VITC regularly organises Workshops / Seminars / Conferences on different aspects of international trade in Karnataka State in association with the Export Promotions Councils, Chambers of Commerce, Industry Associations and other technical bodies.

India being a signatory to WTO, needs to comply with the various WTO agreements within a prescribed timeframe. In particular, industries/traders engaged in the field of international trade will have to immediately and drastically re-orient themselves to meet the challenges, and also to benefit from the significant liberalisation benefits of the GATT, GATS and TRIPS agreements of the WTO, in order to not only survive, but also remain competitive in the market.

Therefore VITC conducts Seminars / Workshops on WTO matters with special focus on the exporters of the State.

These programmes are organised with the help of technical support from experts in the field and mainly focus on the immediate steps to be taken by the exporters for meeting the new challenges and also for benefiting from the WTO agreements.
