TRADE ENQUIRIES AND STATISTICAL PARTICULARS OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE:

In the Industrial Policy and Incentives Package (1996-2001) of the State, specific mention has been made regarding the importance of providing Export Market Information to tiny/SSI sector and it is further stated therein that "VITC will develop a strong database to provide trade and export related information".

The need for a vital and effective market information database cannot be over emphasised. Since many foreign deals are clinched within a working day, providing easy and immediate access of the vital market information to the interested and concerned exporters is the need of the hour. In this context, VITC is already accessing the internet for providing the market information, country profiles, importers / exporters particulars on cost basis to interested exporters/ importers.

VITC also provides trade enquiries (both offline and online). It has also has a good database on the product - country matrix alongwith statistical particulars which are very vital information sources for the companies in the field
